Opara (5-11, 197, Iowa State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season with the Indoor Football League. Collegiately, Opara began his career locally at Iowa Central Community College where he collected 53 total tackles, five interceptions, and a fumble recovery and was named Honorable Mention All-Conference in 2014 before joining Iowa State University as a walk-on. While with the Cyclones, Opara appeared in four games on special teams, registering three tackles.
Last season, Opara appeared in eight games with the Sioux City Bandits of the CIF where he collected 34 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery, and one pick six.
