Iowa Barnstormers

Gonzalez (5-10, 185, Southeastern) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season with the team. Collegiately, Gonzalez began his career at Texas A&M University where he spent two years with the Aggies appearing in 22 games and tallying 26 receptions for 317 yards and two touchdowns. Gonzalez then transferred to Kansas University for one season where he appeared in 12 games with the Jayhawks, hauling in 729 yards and 62 receptions. He also returned 28 kickoffs for 601 yards and one touchdown and earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for Offensive Newcomer of the Year. Gonzalez completed his collegiate career at Southeastern University, breaking almost every single-season record for a wide receiver in the school's history by becoming the all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, receiving yards per game, and receiving touchdowns. He also earned honors being named an AFCA-NAIA All-American.

Following his collegiate career, Gonzalez gained attention from the NFL and was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent earning a spot at the team's rookie minicamp. Continuing his path to the NFL, Gonzalez joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) as a member of the Massachusetts Pirates earning a championship title in 2021.
