Biography

Darius-James Peterson returns for his third season with the Barnstormers. While a season-ending injury sidelined him for most of the 2023 season, Peterson led the Indoor Football League (IFL) in rushing yards with 892 in 2022 while also leading Iowa to a 9-7 record and a playoff berth.

Peterson had a standout career at the College of Idaho (2016-2019) earning second-team All-Frontier Conference honors as a senior. He remains the school’s all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns with 6906 and 49 respectively. He also still leads the Yotes in all-time rushing touchdowns with 46 and is second in all-time rushing yards with 3413.
