Iowa Barnstormers

Wimbush (5-9, 198, Carson-Newman) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season with the team. During the 2022 season, Wimbush appeared in 14 games with the Barnstormers where he rushed 151 times for 650 yards and 19 touchdowns. A force on the field, Wimbush earned IFL honors as Special Teams Player of the Week during week 18 after scoring a whopping seven touchdowns in the game. 

Collegiately, rookie Indoor Football League (IFL) season. Collegiately, Wimbush spent four years at Carson-Newman University. Wimbush appeared in 48 games with the Eagles recording 572 rushes for 4,003 yards and 41 touchdowns and 37 receptions for 527 yards and two touchdowns. During his time with the Eagles, Wimbush also collected numerous accolades including All-SAC First Team and Don Hansen All-Region Team in his sophomore season, Preseason All-SAC First Team and AFCA Good Works Team Nomination in his junior season, and Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year, Don Hansen All-American, Don Hansen All-Region, D2CCA All-Region, and All-SAC First Team in his senior season.
