Barnstormers Sign Defensive Lineman
DL Dillon Faamatau Signs on to Barnstormers 2021 Roster
DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive lineman Dillon Faamatau to the 2021 roster, Head Coach Ameer Ismail announced today.
Faamatau (6-3, 290, University of Oklahoma) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his rookie season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Faamatau began his career at Cerritos College where he played one season and appeared in all 10 games collecting 32 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one blocked kick. Faamatau then transfererd to the University of Oklahoma where he played for three seasons. In his time as a Sooner, Faamatau appeared in 41 games collecting 31 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. Competing in the 2019 season, Faamatau was part of the 2019 Big 12 Championship team.
"Dillon is coming tot he Barnstormers after winning a Big-12 Championship from one of the top coaches in college football - Coach Riley," said Head Coach Ameer Ismail. "He's a champion and was a major contributor and was well coached. He has strength and power."
Faamatau will enter the Iowa Barnstormers Training Camp in the Spring.
