Tyler (5’10, 184, Pittsburg State University) first joined the Iowa Barnstormers in 2018 after being signed from the team’s open tryout. Tyler continued to impress the coaching staff throughout the season, earning a starting spot in 6 games during the regular season where he collected four rushing touchdowns and contributed heavily to special teams. Tyler shined during the United Bowl Championship when he scored a touchdown with just 13 seconds remaining in the game, sealing the team’s victory over the Sioux Falls Storm.
Last season, Tyler appeared in nine games with the Barnstormers where he rushed 42 times for 212 yards and eight touchdowns.
Collegiately, Tyler played one season at Garden City Community College where he appeared in 10 games and collected 16 touchdowns before transferring to Pittsburg State University. In 2014, Tyler joined the Gorillas roster starting in four of 13 games where he carried the ball 74 times for a team-leading 451 yards and two touchdowns. In 2015, Tyler appeared in 8 games where he carried the ball 19 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns.
