Palmgren (6-3, 350, University of Missouri) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his fifth season on the team’s roster. Palmgren first joined the Barnstormers in the Arena Football League (AFL) in 2012 for his rookie season, seeing action in eight games. In 2013, Palmgren wore the goggles once again appearing in five games before suffering a season ending injury. Palmgren began the 2014 season as a member of the Pittsburgh Power roster before returning to the Barnstormers midway through the season. He then went on to play for the Cleveland Gladiators in 2015, starting in 10 games. In 2017, Palmgren made his Indoor Football League (IFL) debut as he re-joined the Barnstormers roster after taking a year off from playing.
Collegiately, Palmgren was a four year standout at the University of Missouri appearing in 47 games and making 25 starts at left guard. He was the anchor of an offensive line that helped rack up more than 30 points and 400 yards per game during his final two seasons.
