The Barnstormers, however, fell just short when a game winning two point conversion was failed in overtime.

The Titans (9-4) are currently enjoying a four game winning streak and are coming off a Week 15 bye after defeating the Barnstormers in Week 14, 46-33. The Titans winning streak is being led on offense by quarterback Dylan Favre over the past two games Favre has completed nearly 60% of his passes for 280 yards and five touchdowns. Favre has also been a force on the ground rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns. The Tians defense has been led by linebacker Nikolas Sierra. Through the past two games Sierra has recorded 11 tackles including one sack and three tackles for loss. Sierra has also forced his share of turnovers recovering one fumble and intercepting two passes.

Saturday’s matchup between the Barnstormers and the Titans will feature two of the top scoring receivers in the IFL. Barnstormers’ receiver Brady Roland currently ranks fifth in the league in both receiving yards (753) and receiving touchdowns (17). On the other hand Titans’ receiver Jared Elmore is currently second in the IFL in receiving touchdowns (20) and third in receiving yards (783).

The Barnstormers are looking to claim the Iowa Bowl for the first time since the rivalry began. In their last matchup the Titans defeated the Barnstormers in Cedar Rapids at the US Cellular Center, 46-33. This is the second of three Iowa Bowl matchups this season as the Titans will be back in Des Moines to close the season on June 25, 2016.
