2010 Record- 6-8 (2-5 at home 4-3 on the road) - Streak: Lost 2- Fourth Place, National Conference, Midwest Division

 Week 16 Recap:

The Barnstormers were defeated last week by one of the top ranked teams, the Spokane Shock 48-42. Spokane struck quickly early on and brought the score 13-0 near the end of the first quarter, but Barnstormer’s Quarterback Ryan Vena was able to find Jesse Schmidt for the first of three touchdowns on the night with 27 seconds left in the first quarter. The second quarter was very similar to the first with Spokane’s controlling offense dominating much of the quarter. With the Shock up 27-7, they decided to go for an onside kick with less than a minute left in the half. Rodney Filer was able to take advantage of this kick and run it into a touchdown. The Barnstormers were able to quickly get the ball back in their possession and score another Jesse Schmidt touchdown before the conculsion of the half bringing the score to 26-21 with the Shock in the lead.

The Barnstormers came out of halftime with winning on their minds as they scored once more on a Jesse Schmidt touchdown to bring themselves ahead of the Shock for the first time in the game. Spokane struck back quickly with a touchdown and with a Barnstormers fumble the Shock capitalized scoring a second touchdown to extend their lead once more. The Barnstormers continued to push forward to catch the Shock once more, but with a Rodney Filer running touchdown and an Errick McCown touchdown reception the Shock were able to answer each time and eventually ran out of time as the Shock held their lead 42-48 when the clock ran out.

 Week 17 Preview:
